Reach vs. resonance

If people aren’t engaging with your content online, then you may think you need to increase your reach.

But you probably don’t have a reach problem. You have a resonance problem.

Reach is how many people see your content. Resonance is how much they care.

If they don’t care, they don’t act. And if they don’t act, then you won’t see results.

So when you want more results, don’t just try to reach more people.

Instead, resonate deeper with them.

How? By making your content more insightful and personal.

The more insightful your content is, the more valuable it is.

And the more personal it is, the more original it is.

Jay Acunzo explained this idea in a great webinar on storytelling I attended last week. Here’s the link to the recording.
