This is the biggest mistake therapists make with email marketing
I’ve sent and received thousands of newsletters and marketing emails over the last decade.
The biggest mistake therapists make with email marketing is not providing value in the email.
For example, if you’re sharing a blog post in your newsletter, then don’t make people click a link to get value. Put the value right in the email.
Remember that marketing is a value exchange. You need to provide “use value” first before you can ask for “cash value” in return.
When it comes to email marketing in particular, people aren’t going to read your emails unless they open them first. And they won’t open them unless they expect to receive value from them.
Hopefully, you open this newsletter every week because you’ve come to expect value from it. Even the more promotional emails I send still try to provide value in the form of a recommended resource.
So the next time you send a newsletter or marketing email, ask yourself, “Does this provide value?”
