The impact/effort matrix

There are so many options for marketing your therapy practice.

How do you know which activities to prioritize?

It may be helpful to use the impact/effort matrix.

Effort is on the y-axis. For a therapist, this can be time or money.

Impact is on the x-axis. This means new clients and revenue for your business.

Start by brainstorming a list of marketing activities. Then place them in one of the four quadrants according to their effort and impact.

For example, being a guest on a podcast might be low effort and high impact. Launching your own podcast might be high impact, but it’s also high effort.

Low effort and high impact are quick wins. Start there.
