You can’t build a house without a foundation.

The same is true for marketing.

The foundation of any marketing strategy has two parts: audience and messaging/positioning.

Your audience is your ideal client. Be as specific as possible.

Your messaging/positioning should speak to your ideal client. Empathize with their pain.

Without a clear understanding of your audience and clear messaging/positioning, your marketing will fall flat.

So if you’re struggling to get clients, or if you’re getting the wrong type of clients, return to the foundation.
