Offer a sliding scale
If you’re struggling to get new clients, consider offering a sliding scale. Open Path Collective makes it easy.
Open Path Collective is a non-profit that offers access to affordable therapy. As a therapist, it’s free to sign up and you get $50 for every therapist you refer. The client pays a one-time membership fee of $59 to join.
The only requirement is that you offer individual sessions for $30-60 and couples and family sessions for $30-80 to Open Path members. You decide the fee and the client pays you directly.
Even if you’re not actively seeking new clients, offering at least one sliding scale or reduced fee spot goes a long way toward making therapy more accessible for people who can’t otherwise afford it.
