Email marketing for therapists
This week, I’m excited to feature a guest article from my friend Avivit Fisher.
Avivit is the owner of REdD Strategy, a marketing consultancy for therapists. She helps therapy business owners to start and grow their private practice.
I appreciate her practical, no BS approach.
Email marketing is one of the most profitable investments a business can make in promoting its services. On average, the return on investment is $36 for every $1 spent.
For therapists, it can also be a great opportunity to build a strong reputation and brand.
Actively engaging with your email subscribers can help keep you in touch with former clients, establish contact with potential clients, and help the people that are not yet ready to become your clients.
If email marketing is something that you’d like to add to your marketing efforts in 2023, here are five simple steps to help you get started.
1. Decide on the right email service provider (ESP) that fits your budget and that you find easy to use. The most popular ones are Mailchimp, ConvertKit, Drip, and AWeber.
2. Create a “lead magnet” for your website. A lead magnet can be a free guide, worksheet, video, article, or any other valuable tool that your audience might want to get in exchange for their email address.
3. Add an “opt-in” form on your website’s blog posts for those who enjoy your writing.
4. Connect your email marketing platform to your website. Follow the instructions of the email marketing platform you chose or use a tool like Zapier to integrate.
5. Set up an automated welcome sequence of 3-4 emails that greets new subscribers. In those emails, you can share quick valuable tips, tell your readers about your practice, answer FAQs, and invite your readers to schedule an appointment with you.
This process, when it’s set up, helps you create trust and start building a relationship with future clients even before they step into your office.
Thanks to Avivit for sharing with us. You can book a free call with her here.
