Do therapists need multiple income streams?
You’ve probably heard business coaches on LinkedIn say you need multiple streams of income.
You should be writing, speaking, consulting, selling courses, running a membership program, and seeing a full caseload of clients, right?
Not exactly.
The idea that therapists “need” to be doing these things perpetuates a hustle culture that leads to burnout.
Personally, I like having multiple income streams because it gives me flexibility and variety in my work.
It’s not for everyone. I know plenty of therapists who just want to do damn good clinical work and that’s okay.
But if you’re interested in applying your expertise to make money outside the therapy room, know it’s an option for you.
It fires me up to help therapists recognize their potential to build wealth.
