Use this framework for your social media content

Use this framework from Elena Verna.

Start by choosing a theme for your content. Going too narrow will reduce your audience size, but being too broad will reduce your relevance.

So experiment to see what resonates. Think of these as your content pillars.

On Twitter, I have 3 themes: mental health marketing, advocacy for mental health professionals, and memes.

Next, identify a common enemy to fight together with your audience. Mine are companies who underpay therapists, notably insurance companies.

Finally, having an angle and sharing a contrarian point of view is the best way to connect with people in a quick, meaningful way.
