The five-second rule for therapist websites

Within five seconds of being on your website, can someone tell what you do?

If not, they’ll leave.

This is called the "five-second rule" for web design. I learned about it from Dr. Marie Fang’s newsletter.

We also know, on average, five times as many people read the website headline as read the body copy.

So be clear and specific about what you do and who you serve.
