Make money selling info products
One of the easiest ways to make money on the internet is to sell info products.
What’s an info product?
An info product, or information product, is what it sounds like: a digital product that delivers information. Unlike physical products (e.g. merch), info products are cheap to produce and infinitely scalable.
The most common type of info product is an e-book. Other examples include worksheets, checklists, templates, workbooks, webinars, email challenges, and online courses.
Pricing for info products varies greatly. Templates and worksheets tend to be in the $5-10 range. Often PDFs are bundled together into a single offering to deliver more value. E-books are sold for $15-20, sometimes more. On demand online courses are in the $50-200 range, but you can charge more if there’s a live component.
As a therapist, you can sell info products to other therapists.
Whitney Goodman sells an Instagram for Therapists course for $99.99
Dr. Kelly Kolmes sells a private practice social media policy for $10
You can also sell info products to the general public.
The Gottman Institute sells a 30-day email challenge for $30
Esther Perel sells an online course for $199
How do you sell info products?
Gumroad makes it easy. They're like Etsy for digital products. It's free to sign up and they take 8.5% + $0.30 USD per sale. If you pay for a premium account, which starts at $10/month or $108/year, they take 3.5% + $0.30 USD per sale.
ConvertKit Commerce is another good option, especially if you already have a newsletter on ConvertKit.
If you want to work less without sacrificing your income, selling info products is a great way to do so. You can literally make money while you sleep.
