How to get on the news
Have you ever wanted to be interviewed on TV?

It’s great exposure for your therapy practice. There are also SEO benefits to having a “high authority” website backlink to your website.
Local news stations are always looking for experts to provide commentary on newsworthy topics. If you haven’t noticed, mental health has been in the news a lot lately.
A good place to start is to connect with journalists and reporters on social media. A lot of them are active on Twitter and Instagram.
If you’re not on social media, then you can try to find their email address online and send them a note introducing yourself. Build the relationship first and then pitch later.
Finally, if that doesn’t work, then you can try to find an email address for a producer and let them know which topics you’re available to speak on.
Similar to pitching a podcast, think about how your perspective will be valuable to their audience.
This is another benefit of having a clear niche.
